This CLE is FREE for all dues-paid LCBA members. The CLE will net you two (2) state CLE hours, including an all-important 1.5 hours ETHICS credit. The LCBA is even providing food and drink to make this an enjoyable and pain-free CLE event. Plus, on-site parking is available!

5:30-6 p.m. MORE ETHICS! Learn about the recent developments in the law regarding lawyer advertising and the Iowa Supreme Court’s current study of Iowa’s lawyer advertising rules. LCBA members Bob Rush and David O’Brien, who serve on the Court’s recently appointed Committee to Study Advertising Rules, will present.

The Annual Meeting of the Linn County Bar Association will be held Thursday, June 17 from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. A half-hour “Legislative Update” CLE will be presented. The speakers will be Iowa State Senator Rob Hogg of Elderkin & Pirnie and Iowa House Republican Leader Kraig Paulsen. Lunch is $7.
Elections for officers for the 2010-2011 term will also be held. Nominees are:
