What a year we have all had. With more opportunities to be outdoors and the current status of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LCBA has decided to bring back one of our most popular events – the group outing at The Kernels! However this year the outing is going to look a little different. First, we are opening the event up to family members of up-to-date dues-paying members. Additionally, the event is scheduled for a Friday evening, July 23, 2021. The game begins at 6:00 PM and the gates open at 5:30 PM. As a benefit to our members, we have decided to provide unlimited food and drink for our members and their guests. However, attendance is limited to 150 people (not including children aged 5 and under, because they are free and do not count toward our final numbers) and you MUST RSVP to reserve you/your family’s spot. In order to get an appropriate headcount we will be sending out an online RSVP in the near future. Keep an eye out for that because we’d love to have you join us!
In light of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, on May 4, 2021, the Linn County Bar Association Board of Governors approved a motion to hold our 2021 Annual Meeting by electronic means, specifically Zoom, on June 17, 2021. The Board of Governors has also approved a motion to elect our 2021 Officers and Governors by electronic means. These actions will require membership Approval/Ratification in compliance with the requirements of the Linn County Bar Association bylaws (September 2008).
An email will be distributed the day before our annual meeting, June 16, containing the two actions to be ratified and the slate of officers to be approved.
The Proposed Slate is as follows:
President-Elect: Holly Corkery, Lynch Dallas, PC (Term of Presidency 2022-2023)
