Supreme Court announces further budget cuts, clerk of court restricted hours

The Iowa Supreme Court released news of layoffs and reductions in clerk of court office hours in response to budget reductions November 12.   The court’s Supervisory Order can be viewed here  and here is the press release regarding the same.

Pursuant to the Supervisory Order, the Linn County Clerk of Court’s Office as well as Clerk of Court offices in the other counties in the 6th Judicial District  shall be closed to the public each Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the near future.   A subsequent Supervisory Order announcing the commencement date of the new hours will be released.
