50-year member panel, elections @ Thursday LCBA Annual Meeting

The June meeting of the Linn County Bar Association is Thursday, June 12 from 12-1 pm at Waypoint Ballroom, YWCA, 318 5th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401. This is the Annual Meeting at which elections for the 2025-2026 Board of Governors will be held. The meeting will include a panel discussion featuring many of this year's 50 year LCBA honorees (Glenn Johnson; Gary Kucera; Jon McCright; Randy Nazette; Tom Read; Les Stokke; Gary Streit; and Steve Swift).

Re elections: the LCBA’s Nominating Committee has selected the following slate of nominees to be placed on the ballot for the June 11 election:

1. President-Elect: Matthew Preston, Brady Preston Gronlund P.C. (term of presidency 2026-2027)

2. Secretary: Sarah Barr, Shuttleworth & Ingersoll PLC (two year term 2025-2027)

3. Board of Governors:

Fae Hoover, Kids First Law Center (one year term expiring 2026)

Brian Farrell, University of Iowa College of Law (two year term expiring 2028)

Drew Powell, Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman, PLC (three year term expiring 2028)

Current President-Elect Nick Kilburg will become President at the Annual Meeting.

Lunch will be available from Peppercorn Food Company for $10. There is no charge to attend the meeting if you are not eating the provided lunch.  Bring a colleague!    Bring a friend! The more the merrier!
