LCBA members, please join us for the November bar meeting on Thursday, November 20 from 12 to 1 PM in Cedar Rapids.  We are thrilled to have as our guest Hon. Henry Hamilton III, who will speak on "A Lawyer’s Indispensable Duty to Uphold the Rule of Law." His presentation will examine the obligations of lawyers and judges to champion the Rule of Law and defend the principles of democracy. It will also explore the consequences when we fail to meet these obligations. A half hour CLE credit has been approved. As a special offering for our November 20 meeting, we are extending an invitation to law students and members of our neighboring county bar associations to join us for this program. We look forward to welcoming colleagues from across the region for this engaging discussion. The meeting will be held at a NEW LOCATION: the community room at Collins Community Credit Union, 1800 First Avenue NE, lower level, Cedar Rapids. Lunch will be provided at a cost of $10 for all those who timely RSVP. For Linn County Bar members, please RSVP when you receive the emailed meeting invitation.
